Welcome to the final seminar and a documentary viewing of Drawing Together-project. During the last four years, the Drawing Together project has explored relational wellbeing of unaccompanied asylum-seeking youth in Finland, Norway and Scotland through research and art. In the seminar, the participating youth, researchers and invited guests will share their views on how to support the wellbeing of young refugees. We will watch a documentary filmed by Petter Korkman and do collaborative art. Refreshments will be available. All are welcome, please register using the link!

14:00 Gathering at Edu’s café (Tampere university Virta building, 3rd floor) 

14:15 Opening: 

  • Tiina Silander (Dean, Faculty of Education and Culture, Tampere University) 
  • Mervi Kaukko (Tampere University) and Marja Tiilikainen (Migration Institute of Finland), project artists  

14:35-15:45 “Drawing Together” documentary, with introduction by documentarist Petter Korkman. Refreshments available during viewing. 

15:45-16:45 Panel discussion about ways of working with young refugees. Chairs: Fath E Mubeen and a project artist.
