Weekly Exercises

During Period 1 the exercise sessions take place weekly each Tuesday in TC429, and during Period 2, in TD308. The time is 10.15–12.00. You can come to a session without special preparation, but it might be a good idea to bring, e.g., the course book, lecture slides, and naturally the problem set to be solved. You are given some time to work with the problems first (either in groups or alone, if you prefer), and finally the solutions are presented and discussed together.

By participating actively in the exercise sessions one can gain "activity marks" (AMs) that are converted into bonus points for the course grading. Alternatively, one can gain AMs by solving problems without participating in the exercise sessions and by presenting the solutions to Teemu J. Heinimäki (TD319). The solutions to a problem set should be presented during the corresponding exercise week in order to get a mark.
