Lintula uses a monthly maintenance window on the Thursdays that follow the second Tuesday of the month, starting at 5 pm. All non-urgent updates and such maintenance work that may cause interruptions in services will take place during that time.
The University IT-Services have a maintenance window at the same time. By keeping the maintenance windows simultaneous we hope to minimize the harm to users. Notice that even if Lintula is not doing any distruptive maintenance, the University IT-Services may still be doing some maintenance that affects Lintula. It is for example possible - although not common - that the network infrastructure of the building will be down for maintenance. We hope that courses take the maintenance window into account when making schedules for courses.
