System on Chip Seminar
Naji Ghazal is currently in his final year of his PhD program in the Design Technology (CAD) Group of the Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences Department at U.C. Berkeley. His advisors are Prof. Richard Newton and Prof. Jan Rabaey.
Before returning to graduate study, in 1993-1995, he was a Design Engineer on the Pentium(tm) Processor team at Intel Corporation. Naji attained his M.S. in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University in 1992 as a Tau Beta Pi Fellow. He completed his B.S.E.E. in 1991 at San Diego State University as the Outstanding Graduate of the College of Engineering.
His research interests include early design guidance, architecture studies, and Web-based design technologies. As a member of the WELD (Web-based Electronic Design) Project at Berkeley, he organized and helped implement the team's effort to present a prototype Web-based CAD-tool framework at DAC (Design Automation Conference) in 1996 and 1997.
