System on Chip Seminar

Ravi Subramanian

Ravi Subramanian heads the Architecture Group at Morphics Technology, where he is part of a team developing software-programmable hardware- reconfigurable digital signal processing engines for wideband-data and multi-standard wireless communications. From 1995-1998, Ravi was at Synopsys, where he was responsible for systems, high-level synthesis, and datapath synthesis design tools and digital communications design services.

From 1991-1995, Ravi was with the Communication Systems Research Laboratory at AT&T Bell Laboratories, where he focused on all-digital transceiver algorithms, VLSI architectures for CDMA, TDMA, and DVB digital receivers, and RF architectures for cellular and cordless products. Ravi received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley and his B.S.E.E. with honors from the California Institute of Technology, Pasadena. While at Caltech, Ravi was awarded the AT&T Award for Outstanding Performance. He has over 25 refereed publications and 17 patents (10 issued) in the areas of digital communications, VLSI signal processing, and radio architectures, and is listed in Marquis' Who's Who Worldwide in Science and Technology.
