Job Opportunities & Research Visits
Tampere University of Technology (TUT) and the University of Tampere (UTA) were merged on 1 January 2019 into new multidisciplinary
foundation-based Tampere University (TAU). Formerly the TLTPOS group belonged to TUT.
Our TLTPOS group has participated in several EU-funded and Finnish-funded projects
We have close cooperation with the Signal Processing for Communications and Navigation (SPCOMNAV)
group at Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, Spain, with Finish Geodetic Institute, Finland, and with Vaasa University, Finland.
We have also collaborated with the Centre of Excellence in Smart Radios and Wireless Research (SMARAD) from Aalto University.
We participated in the MULTI-POS Marie Curie International Training Network on cognitive positioning.
PhD jobs
We are currently recruiting 15 PhD students within our A-WEAR H2020 MSCA EJD project. Four out of 15 positions will be at TAU.
Post-docs
We have a limited number of openings for visiting researchers on a continuous basis. Recommended
duration is between few weeks to 6 months. We cannot offer financial support, but will provide
office space, access to University facilities and university courses, and a stimulating research
environment. For more details you can contact Elena-Simona Lohan with a
concrete research and publication plan.
In addition, annual TUT PhD and post-doc grants are offered for talented researchers worldwide who want to come to work in Finland.
The applications take place once a year (usually during Fall).

Researchers which graduated with a MSc degree more than 4 years ago and who have experience in publications
are highly encouraged to apply to MSCA individual fellowships to join our group. Applications take place once a year, with typical deadline around August-September.
MSc students
