Aika ja -paikka:

Time and Place: Kurssi suoritetaa periodejen S1 ja S2 aikana. Luentoaika on tiistaisin klo 9.15-11.00 sali TB131. Ensimmäinen tapaaminen on tiistaina 31.8.2004.

The Course will be lectured during periods S1 and S2. Lectures are on Tuesdays from 9.15 to 11 a clock. The first meeting will take place on the Tuesday, 31st of September, 9:15 a.m. in the lecture room TB131.

Sisältö:

Topics: Kurssilla käydään läpi neurolaskennan perusmenetelmiä ja kehittyneempiä menetelmiä. Lisäksi tutustutaan neurolaskennan mahdollisuuksiin eri sovellusten kannalta.

Basic and some more advanced methods of neuro computing are considered during the course. Besides that the possibilities to apply neuro computing to some application fields are considered.

Audience: Kurssi on tarkoitettu opintojensa loppuvaiheessa oleville signaalinkäsittelyn, ohjelmisto- ja tietoliikennetekniikan opiskelijoille tai jatko-opintoihin.

The course is intended to students who are close to graduation in the fields of signal processing, computer science or telecommunication. The course is also suitable to post-graduate studies.

Tutkintovaatimukset:

Requirements: Kurssin suorittamiseksi vaaditaan hyväksyttävästi suoritettu tentti ja tietokoneella tehtävä harjoitustyö. Harjoitustyön suorittamiseen liittyvistä asioista vastaa DI Tomi , Vesanen, 3743 , tomi.vesanen@tut.fi, huone TC415. Ensimmäinen harjoituskerta on tiistaina 26.10.2004 klo xx-xx salissa yy.
