Exercise 1: The first exercise will be on 13.01.2010 and is about Introductory Filtering Examples which covers these topics:

· The needs for filtering

· The difference between IIR and linear-phase FIR filters.

· The roles of poles and zeros in contributing to various filter responses: amplitude, phase, phase delay, group delay, and impulse responses.

· Characteristics of all-pass transfer functions.
