Call for Papers The 11th Symposium on Programming Languages and Software Tools (SPLST'09) Co-located with the 7th Nordic Workshop on Model Driven Software Engineering (NW-MODE'09). 26-28 August 2009 Tampere, Finland http://www.cs.tut.fi/ohj/splst09/ e-mail: splst09(at)cs.tut.fi Aims and Scope The purpose of the Symposium on Programming Languages and Software Tools is to provide a forum for software scientists to present and discuss recent research and development in computer science. This symposium is the eleventh in a series of conferences which started in 1989 in Szeged, Hungary. Since then it has been organized every two years. The eleventh symposium is organized in Tampere, Finland, by Tampere University of Technology in co-operation with University of Tampere. The scope of the symposium covers ongoing research related to languages, tools and methods for software development. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: * programming and modeling languages and paradigms, * techniques and tools for various aspects of software engineering, * formal methods and algorithms * parallel and distributed systems, * techniques for embedded, database, web, ubiquitous etc. systems * etc. Paper Submissions We highly encourage authors to give a talk at the symposium and submit full research papers (at most 15 pages) or short research papers (4-6 pages) in PDF-format before June the 1st. Submissions should be written in English. Papers are to be formatted using the Springer LNCS style: http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html PhD students are encouraged to submit papers about their ongoing or planned research. All submitted papers will be reviewed by members of the program committee. Accepted papers must be presented at the workshop by one of the authors. All accepted papers will be published as a university technical report with ISBN. Selected full research papers are planned to be published as a special issue of a journal. The papers are to be submitted using the on-line paper submission system available from the workshop web page. Please specify whether you are submitting a full research paper or a short research paper.
