Who am i

Work

I am a researcher in the Unit of Human Centered Technology (IHTE) in Tampere University of Technology (TUT). During my employment in IHTE (since March 2008) I have been involved in a few of IHTE's projects in which research has focused mostly on user experience (UX) in general and related to gaming experience, educational games, mobile work, haptic and multimodal communication, and mixed reality communication.

I have studied computer science in TUT with a major in usability and minors in biomedical engineering and industrial management. I graduated as Master of Science in April 2009, writing my master's thesis about user experience, design and evaluation of educational health-enhancing games. I started my work career in TUT/IHTE in 2008 when I started working on my thesis in a project called TERVI. Currently I am doing user studies in HEI project (Human Emotional Interaction) that focuses on multimodal and haptic communication.

Personal

I live in Tampere in the beautiful district of Hervanta. In my free time I like to go to the gym or for a walk/run, and spend time with my friends and boyfriend.
