Welcome to My website. My name is M.M. Mahbubul Syeed. I am a PhD student in the Dept. of Software Systems, Tampere University of Technology, Finland. I am currently working as a Researcher and Teaching Assistant in the same department. My PhD study is funded by a four year graduate scholarship (awared by TiSE, Finland) and Clould computing project. 

My current research area includes:  Organizational Studies of Software Development in Open Source Software (OSS) Communities, OSS Development, Methods and Tools to analyse OSS and its communities.

Binoculars 2010

This tool is a open source software (OSS ) project analyzer which encorporates all the 
perspectives of a project and represents relationships among project personels and artifacts both from the view point of RE and SNA. This tool is an updated version of previous tool Binoculars and encorporates many new and enhanced options and a new user interface.

This a tool to analyze open source software projects from both the perspective of Reverse Engineering (RE) and Social Network Analysis (SNA). The client of this software is Department of Software Systems, TUT.

MAMA

MAMA stands for Mobile Application for Metso Automation. This software is developed to control Metso Stone crusher machines through wireless connection. This product runs in nokia E71 smart phone and in PC.

Monopoly

This is a command based famous game Monopoly developed in C++. This game is developed as a requirement of my M.Sc course  "Object Oriented Programming".

OCR

OCR stands for Optical Character Recognizer. This OCR was implemented for Bengali Characters with a recognition accuracy of about 40% to 99%. This is also a command based software developed in C. This is only a prototype tool developed as a requiremnt of my B.sc thesis.

Integrated Development Enviornment: Eclipse, NetBeans, Visual Studio, JBuilder.

Operating System: Windows (XP, Vista), Linux (Ubuntu, Fedora). 

Open Source Packages: Eclipse Rich Client Platform, ZEST graph visualization kit, JFree charts, SWT, Swing,  Dom XML parser. 

Language skills

English : Excellent ( IELTS score: Listening:  8.5, Speaking: 7, Writing: 6.5, Reading: 6.5 ).
